Galileo Galilei

  • An astronomer of the renaissance time
  • Born on February 15, 1564
  • Lived in Pisa, Italy went to University of Pisa
  • Died January 8, 1642 under house arrest

LAW OF PENDULUM

  • He made the law to regulate clocks and became famous.
  • When he tried to make the Pendulum Clock he died before it was done.

RELIGIOUS BELIEFS

  • They weren't said but church arrested him for being a "heretic"
  • He was old and ill so he was put in house arrest
  • Died on January 8, 1642
  • He was a "heretic" because he showed people that the church doesn't have all answers
  • And they would take info. from 1 man and had proof to show that it's real.

  • He made a pendulum clock called

  • Galileo made Dante's Inferno
  • Returned to University of Pisa after leaving
  • T'was about the 9 circles of Hell

HUMANISM

  • His way of Humanism was he reinvented a better model of the telescope
  • He showed them that dropping two items of two different weights they'll land at the same time
  • He told people that the Earth revolved around the sun.
  • He told everyone that all of this is real. He had proof to show that it worked.
  • These are examples of Humanism because he cared for human interests and ideas.
