THE ROARING 20S

  • The Roaring 20s were a time of great success and enjoyment in the U.S.
  • This pictures shows people having a fantastic time in the 20s.
  • Like this picture, the market was astounding during the 1920s.

ECONOMIC BUST

  • This picture shows a bank run in the late 1920s.
  • A bank run is a rush of people to the bank to withdrawl their money.
  • People did this because they lost trust in the bank or thought it was the best choice.

DEPRESSION AFFECTS THE AVERAGE

  • Depression affected the average American beacuse they lost stuff many.
  • They lost their homes, money, and practically everything.
  • I chose this photo because these people were probably average Americans.
  • Now they have very little.

DEPRESSION AFFECTS THE AVERAGE

  • I chose this picture because this family resembles many American families.
  • They all lost in some way.

ENTERTAINMENT OF THE GREAT DEPRESSION

  • Movies were a great part in the Depression.
  • People liked movies because they took their minds off reality.

ANGRY AMERICANS

  • In this picture are many men who lost their jobs.
  • They lost their jobs because of the Great Depression's economy and job rate bust.

PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT

  • My example of a public works project is the Hoover Dam.
  • The Hoover Dam was made to hone in on a large river for energy.
  • The Hoover Dam was under the Works Progress Administration(WPA).
  • The larger goal of all of the projects at this time were to try to help the economy.
