  • The Paiutes lived in many places, but the largest population were along the Virgin and Muddy rivers.
  • The Paiute Indian tribe lives in Utah and they have approximatley 900 members.

  • Southern Paiutes bands were small and usually consisted of families that were related, for the bands lived all over from the mountains to the deserts.

  • They hunt rabbits, deer, and mountains sheep, but the Paiutes also gather seeds, roots, tubers, berries, and nuts.
