BOMBING

• The flight was from Frankfurt to Detroit.
• The flight was destroyed by terrorist bomb.
• It occurred on December 21, 1988.

CASUALTIES

• The bombing killed all 243 passengers.
• All 16 of the crew members died also.
• After the plane crashed, the debris killed 11 more people.
• Large sections of the aircraft crashed into Lockerbie,Scotland.

AFTERMATH

• This is the deadliest aviation incident in UK.
• In 2003, Muammar Gaddafi accepted responsibility for the bomb.
• He also paid compensation to the families of the victims.
