Language
The official language of Panama is Spanish. About 14% of the people live there speak english as a native tongue. Many people speak english as a second language.

Typical Panamanian foods are mildly flavored, Common ingredients are maize, rice, wheat flour, plantains, yuca, beef, chicken, pork and seafood. They serve dishes such as tamales, cocades and tortillas.

Clothing
People from panama tend to wear lighter, airier clothing. They also like to wear flipflops. But at night they usually get more dress up into nicer clothing.

Celebrations
Carnava. Panama's largest yearly celebration takes place during the 4 days that precede Ash Wednesday. The largest celebrations are in small towns on the Azuero Peninsula, such as Las Tablas, and Panama City, with parades, music, and dancing.

Religion
About 85% of Panama's people are Roman Catholic. The others are evangelical Christian.
