What is the PERSONA/public image?

  • Tone is the expression of attitude created by selection (diction), arrangement (syntax), and purposeful details & images.
  • Is the writer's tone positive, negative, humorous, sorrowful/fearful, or neutral?

  • What is the thesis or argument?
