On Friday, March 30th 1912 Paris experienced a very violent earthquake. A crevice, 5 yards, opened overlooking the village of St.Solve. The railway station was overrun by rocks. The houses in the area were practically turned upside down. The furniture was everywhere outside, the doors were long gone, etc...
There are about eight reported tornado's per year, but only about two will be F2 or higher. In the past two hundred years, only eleven tornado's have being F4s or F5s. From April to October, French tornado's are most common closer the heart. During the cold season, November to March, most observed in the northwest section of France.
One F4 tornado that struck Pommereuil killed two and injured 50 on June 24 1967, was described as like the end of the world; with cars flying over rooftops, entire houses lifted off the ground. The same day Palluel was hit with a F5 tornado, that destroyed 17 houses. Eight died in this storm and 30 were injured.

Paris' bus lines interconnect to all points of the capital. there are 58 operating bus lines. You can use weekly or monthly passes to ride but, if you already used a single ticket in the metro you can't transfer onto a bus.
The metro has been around for more than a century. Paris' metro has 300 stations on 16 lines that go all around the city. The metro runs from 5:30am – 12:40am Sunday through Thursday. 5:30am -- 1:40pm for Friday and Saturdays. Trains range from 2 minutes up to 8-10 minutes.
Cycling is a common way to get around. The Vélib bike system was introduced in the middle of 2007, now there are over 20,000 bikes that are available to hire through out the city.
The RER is a network of 5 connected express train lines. It can get you from one place to another very fast. Tickets are the exact same as the metro.

France is the leading country in the fashion industry. It is well known for its good taste. France is thought of as the fashion capital. Many famous french fashion designers got first inspired in this remarkable city. For example, Channel, Pierre Cardine, Céline, Chole, Dior, Gicenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, Hermès, Rochas, Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, etc... Manosque, La Gacilly and Vichy lead the cosmetics industry.
Paris is home to many fashion boutiques. Many French designers are proudly highlighted through out the city. Paris hosts a whole week dedicated to fashion twice a year, similar to Milan, London, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles and Rome. The famous street of Champs-Élysées has many luxurious fashion, jewelry and beauty houses situated on it.
