PRESENTATION OUTLINE

PROTON

  • The Proton is a subatomic particle
  • With a Positive charge⚡️
  • The number of Protons in an atom of an element is the atomic number
  • The mass of the proton is about 1,840 times the mass of the electron and slightly less than the mass of the neutron.

NEUTRON

  • The neutron is a subatomic particle.
  • Neutrons can be produced by a number of techniques.
  • a subatomic particle of about the same mass as a proton but without an electric charge.

ELECTRON

  • Electron can be bound to the nucleus of an atom.
  • An electron can be bound to the nucleus of an atom by the attractive Coulomb force.

NUCLEUS

  • The central and most important part of an object, movement, or group, forming the basis for its activity and growth.
  • Nucleus controls most things.

ELECTRON CLOUD

  • The electron cloud model is different from the older Bohr atomic model by Niels Bohr. Bohr talked about electrons orbiting the nucleus, in a similar way to the plants that go around the sun.

ENERGY LEVELS

  • If an electron is in the first energy level, it must have exactly -13.6 eV of energy.
  • Energy levels is a constant value of energy.

QUESTIONS

  • How much electrons are there?
  • What is a Proton?
  • What is a nuetron?
  • What does the energy levels help with?
  • What is a electron cloud?
