WHAT IS PASCAL'S PRINCIPLE

  • Blaise Pascal found a relationship between pressure and a confined fluid
  • Pressure exerted on a confined fluid is transmitted equally
  •  Pressure applied to a fluid in a closed container is transmitted equally to every point of the fluid and to the walls of the container.

WHEN CAN WE USE THIS

  • Every day situations include;
  • Balloon Animals
  • Toothpaste
  • Condiment Packages

OTHER TIMES

  • The most common use of Pascal's is in hydraulic systems
  • They use fluids to transmit pressure
  • Cars use hydraulic breaks
