Pictures of my class to help organize.

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

ORGANIZE AND SIMPLIFY!

TULI HELP! :)

Red closets top is supposed to be reading curriculum, but has book sets, and other stuff, long drawers have paper, etc.

I have this as supplies, it's made for paper. Like that kids can get to it. There's too much in there now though.

Yes: curriculum I'm actually using, Benchmark kit, reding books

No: tape dispenser, pencil boxes with glue, curriculum I haven't used in years

I have puppets I hardly use but like to have as well as fabric and some sketch books. Best spot for them??

Construction paper drawer. I let the kids in and out of here and this is how it looks now. Maybe too many papers, maybe it needs labels?

Easel: the idea with this is that I have my supplies to use to write in he easel. Really I just need markers so these drawers just get filled with random stuff by me and the kids.

Other side of easel. Cool folder holder...right now these are just a bunch of extra folders. Up top are empty containers. I like the folder thing, what else could I use it for?

Yellow closet by the sink doesn't look bad with the door closed...up top is my prize bin, globe that I never use, hole puncher and a tub of bandannas...that's random!

View from within... Duh, duh, duh...

These are a bunch a professional books I've begun to purge. A tub with random stuff I used to use at my old school, costume stuff. I would like to just have my coat, purse on the left and the right can be the books I want to keep.

Untitled Slide

Games I have for the kids. This is ONE area that is organized, I like where they are located and everything fits for this space.

Under sink I mostly cleaned out before school, but now I need to maybe take out coffee mugs and do labels for what goes down there.

Blue tub separates student working spots, but the spots get piled with stuff! Need to send home those little student boxes. Mini back table has Oregon trail books. I like that they are in that area, but is there a better spot for them?

This is supposed to be a student work area but I end up piling things on this table. Things I need to file, or that box of readers theaters that go with Oregon trail and I need to find a spot for.

My ideal desk only has my clipboard with my planning, computer and space for presenting with the projector. It ends up with any papers I haven't organized yet, extra copies, markers, read alouds, etc.

YELLOW CLOSETS

Above I want just my writing curriculum. What's actually there: picture books, random art supplies, decks of cards.

Same closet, just close up

Math curriculum, manipulatives, student books could use a better place!

Social studies/science curriculum and tissue :) is there a better place for the tissue?? Also, picture books

Kids mail, under is storage that could be used better. Student privacy screens are the blue things, and I have a tub of clipboards.

Red tubs are for the Oregon trail groups in the afternoon. I like that but they are messy looking. Under are yellow tubs that are numbered and I use them for various things, but this could be used better.

Math manipulatives that are labeled but I haven't checked in a while to make sure they have kept organized. Under are students book boxes, my alternatives to the desks. I like this system.
