Life
On August 28, 1965, Eilleen Regina Edwards(who later changed her name to Shania Twain)was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Her parents divorced when she was young, but her mother, Sharon, soon remarried, to a man named Jerry Twain, a member of the Ojibwa tribe. Twain adopted Sharon’s three daughters, and the four-year-old Eilleen became Eilleen Twain.

Shania's life was very difficult and hard. But music was a brighter spot in her childhood.She was singing by age 3,playing piano at 8,and penning her very own music at 10.Shania's mother embraced her daughter’s talent, making sacrifices the family could ill afford in order to get Twain to lessons and gigs. With her mother's encouragement,Shania grew up singing in clubs and community events,with occasional strikes into television and radio.
Down falls
In 1987, however, Twain’s life was turned update down when her parents died in a car crash. But that didn't stop Shania from making her own music,she continued to write songs on her free time.
Achievements
Shania Twain was announced as the winner of the SMItty Award for Most Innovative Use of Scent Marketing.She also was awarded a grammy for the best country album in 1996.
