The patriot act is so on the edge of being right or wrong. - Some might say we need to violate rights to protect the people - But we also need to consider that innocent people shouldn't have their privacy invaded. It's so hard to tell what the right answer is.
Someone famous for being against the Patriot Act is Edward Snowden. He is a govn't whistleblower and exposed to the public how much is really being monitored. Phone calls are recorded, govn't can easily retrieve emails and texts. Why do you think people say once you send something out it can be easily traced back? Almost everything you do is recorded.
People's rights may be violated but it's still important to see things from both sides - After numerous terrorist attacks, even from U.S. citizens, we really need to carefully crack down on terrorists and do whatever it takes to keep this great nation safe.
