Pawnee

General Information

• The Pawnee started off with 10,000 people, for the success of their hunting and fishing
• There original location was Nebraska, yet now they're in Oklahoma

Housing

• The Pawnee didn't travel a lot, nor did theybuild a lot of houses
• The built long earth lodges that could fit a lot of people, they stayed in the same spot for a while

Food

• Like every other tribe they eat buffalo and antelope, and they also eat corn squash and beans

Clothing

• The men wore leather leggings, breech clothes and moccasins,though the women wore deerskin skirts and ponch blouse

Daily Life

• The men were hunters and went to war, so all the females were cookers and did the childcare
• The mothers in the Pawnee tribe cooked, whereas the men in the Pawnee tribe hunted

Positive things

• Now that The Pawnee are in Oklahoma, they have better soil and ground for hunting
• While the Pawnee were a vicious tribe, they have settled down but will still fight
• The Pawnee wasn't a mobile tribe, but they were a vicious tribe

Negative facts

• The Pawnee was a very big tribe, although diseases wiped most of them out
• The Sioux was a ery smart tribe, after only attacking when the Pawnee tribe was off hunting.
• Once the Pawnee left to go hunting, the Sioux lost against the children and elders
• Unless the Pawnee taught kids at home, they had very little educations
