The Nobel Peace Prize
The Nobel Peace Prize is one out of 5 Nobel Prizes. It was invented by a Swedish inventor named Alfred Nobel.

This prize is awarded to people who have contributed to Peace in an outstanding way. It is awarded annually and is a great honor to win.
Winners of the Prize
There are many Peace makers that were awarded for their hard work. One winner of the Nobel Peace Prize is Tawakkol Karman. She is the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize. She protested the struggle for human rights and women's participation in peace building. This is so important to the world because people around the world are having troubles with rights and this helped to give those people more rights and freedom.
Another person whose won the award was Martin Luther King Junior. He made history when he protested about how everyone should not be judged by the color of their skin, but by what there personal qualities are. This protest led to more freedom and peace between the black and white which could have potentially broken out into many wars or controversy.
Are peacemakers considered children of God?
Peacemakers are definitely considered "the children of God." When we spread peace we are considered peace makers. God enjoys it when we spread kindness and peace. Those who bring the wonderful message of God's peace is a peace maker and Jesus calls them "the children of God."
