  • With the war with china and Japan raging
  • America was stoping shipment to Japan
  • WW2 was going on and America didn't want to fight
  • Japan thought they would be able to destroy America
  • Pearl Harbor was one of the most important bases

  • So they sent an officer to check it out
  • They bought the harbor and area around it
  • They continued to buy

  • In the morning
  • Had not been able to prepare

  • America got so mad with Japan
  • Thought that they "cheated"
  • Ended the debate on going to war
  • Put fuel to Americans hearts
