American flag
The American flag has six meanings. The white means purity and innocence. The red symbolizes hardiness and velour. The blue signifies the color of chief. The border above the strips stands for vigilance, perseverance, and justice. The fifty stars represent the fifty states. And the thirteen strips mean the first states that declared independence from the kingdom of Great Britain.

Dog Tags
Dog tags started in the mid-19th century. Dog tags have your last name on top and your first names middle initial second. It also has your social security number third. And your branch of service blood type fourth and religious fifth.

21 Gun Salute
The 21 gun salute is recognized by the number of rounds fired in any given salute will vary depending on the condition. Circumstances affecting these variations include the particular occasion and in case of military and state funerals, the branch of service, and the rank of the person to whom honor are being rendered.

Purple Heart
The Purple Heart is a United States military decoration awarded in the name of the president to those wounded or killed, while serving, on or after the April 5,1917 with the U.S. military. The Purple Heart is a forerunner of the Badge of Military Merit, which took the form of a heart made of cloth. The Purple Heart is the oldest reward still given to U.S. military members.

Flag Fold
Flag fold is performed during every military funeral. The flag fold thirteen folds within the thirteen folds has its own meaning.

Five Branches of U.S. Military Service
The branches are Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy. The Air Force is the primary USAF is to fly planes, helicopters, and satellites. The Army generally moves in to an area, secure it, and instills order and values before it leaves. The Coast Guard rescues, does law enforcement, drug prevention, and clears waterways. The Marine Corps are trained to fight by sea and land, and usually the first "boots on the ground." The Navy secures and protects the oceans around the world to create peace and stability, making the seas safe for travel and trades.

The Peace Monument
The Peace Monument in Washington, D.C. is a stunning piece of architecture built between 1877 and 1878. It stands on the ground of the United States Capitol in the peace circle, is also known as the Naval Monument and was actually built to commemorate the naval death during the American Civil War. One of the most expressive sculptures in "peace." It's a classical figure draped from the waist down that holds on the olive branch and faces the capitol. This was the final part to put in place (January 1878) that completed the whole monument.

The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier
The tomb of the unknown soldier refer to a monument in dedication to the services of an unknown soldier and to common memories of all soldiers killed in any war. Such tombs can be found in many national and are usually high-profile national monument. Throughout history, many soldiers have died in wars with their remains being unidentified.
