  • Is a chemical element between nonmetals and metals.
  • Metalloids are solids.
  • Used in computer chips, and used for calculaters.

BORON

  • Used as a rocket fuel igniter.
  • Used in Pyrotechnic flares.
  • Gives the flare a distinctive green color.

  • Generally poor conducters of heat and electricity.
  • Very brittle in thier solid form.
  • Can be a gas or a solid.

NITROGEN

  • Used to make fertilizers, dyes, and exsplosives.
  • Is a nonmetal gas.
  • Makes up around 78% of the air we breathe.
