  • Fluorine
  • Chlorine
  • Bromine
  • Iodine
  • Astatine
  • Ununseptium

HALOGENS

  • The halogens are located on the left of the noble gases.
  • It behaves similar to iodine and is often included in the halogen group.
  • The halogen elements have 7 valance electrons, they only require 1 additional electron to form a full octet.

VIII

ALL ELEMENTS IN VIII

  • Helium
  • Neon
  • Argon
  • Krypton
  • Xenon
  • Radon
  • Ununoctium

NOBLE GASES

  • When electricity is passed through these gases they produce different coloured lights.
  • They are the most stable due to having the maximum number of valance electrons their outer shell can hold.
  • They conduct electricity.
  • They are all odourless and colourless.
