• Antarctic summer temps range from 9 degrees to -30 in the inland
• Arctic summer temps range from 3 degrees to 14 degrees celsius

• Strong winds and little soil
• Little fresh water available
• Some parts are freezing cold all year long

• Plant Life: Lichens, most types of mosses, and some species of flowers.
• Animal Life: Polar bears, walruses, seals, arctic fox, insects and penguin
