START OF THE WAR

• Saddam Hussein wanted to take over Kuwait
• He wanted the oil that Kuwait had
• This conflict took place between Iraq and 39 other nations

IRAQ

• Where the war took place
• Man civilians caught on the streets
• No fly zone was implemented

NUCLEAR

• Iraq was trying to use nuclear weapons
• Tried to destroy Israel
• The attack was unsuccessful

SADDAM

• Leader of Iraq
• Started the Persian gulf war
• Wanted to get as much oil as possible

UNITED STATES

• Sent over 2,183,000 troops
• Went to protect the little country of Kuwait
• Ground warfare broke out

KUWAIT

• Flooded world oil market
• Had to depend on the U.S.
• Much damage do to war

UN

• Played a big part
• Tried to have Saddam step down
• Instead they sent troops to Saudi Arabia

MISTAKES

• United States should have stayed out
• Left it up to the other 39 nations
• Loss of many troops do to warfare

END OF WAR

• Saddam had failed but not moved from power
• Iraq suffered lots of damage
• April 6th,1991 the war ended
