MY PERSONAL CULTURE

Oh hello there! I'm Athena Jhingan. I was born on August 3rd 2003 at exactly 4:55 am. My mother was born in Callihoo Alberta, growing up raising chicken and cows on a farm. While my dad who was born in Prince Rupert, raised in a household of five and played on the hockey team that never won a single game.LIKE EVER.Growing up I had an abnormal obsession with eating broccoli,turnips,green onions,and chicken. Despite my weird childhood obsessions,I had a pretty not so normal life! My parents gladly split when I was still an infant (and of course my mom raised me and my abnormal obsessions all alone.)

I am a dancer. I'm sure your wondering what kind right? Well I'm a jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro, tap, and musical theater dancer. I take so much pride,hard work,and effort into my dances. To be honest with you, dance is like a wonderland.. A dark paradise that I can escape to when I'm feeling out of place in this mess of a world. We all get lost sometimes right? Well, dance finds me and molds me back into a person again. I fell in love with dance because besides my mom, it was the only thing there for me when no one else was. If I didn't have dance, my mind would pull the trigger of a huge shotgun that shot my happiness away.

As you can obviously tell from the picture, My ultimate favorite season is fall..mostly because fall shows you how beautiful it is to let something go. I look forward to the hoodies,Halloween,and the hush before winter in autumn! Some words that describe me are:active,loyal,caring,daring and hyper

As of now,I live down by Joyce skytrain in one of the the high-rises. I am so grateful that I have a roof over my head.. What? You can never be too grateful. I transport to surrey every weekend to visit my father then come back on weekdays to live with my mom. It's as simple as that! Oh and here's a scary fact for you,😨 MY MOMS HOUSE IS HAUNTED!! Just thought I'd throw that in there.

I am a really goofy person.. I like to fool around, play pranks on my younger siblings, and take pictures of my great grandma picking at her teeth.

(Other than my mom) Oona is most important to me.Her and I have been through everything together.Good times and bad. A best friend is someone who will always love you - the imperfect you, the confused you hands down! I guess it's safe to say that the hard times will always reveal true friends! Remember that..
One last thing about me that you should know is, I absolutely 100% love the rain! I don't know why but cloudy days and rainy days just make me so happy. On the rainy days I sit by my window sill watching people runaway and try to get dry from the rain, I see it so differently...
