  • She battles this Jinn.
  • This twist ending will shock you, and it will shock audiences.

REASONS WHY AUDIENCES NEED TO SEE THIS

  • This short film will accurately portray a struggle many teens throughout the world go through.
  • This short film shows that teens like the main character can make it through this struggle.
  • This short film accurately shows signs of this struggle dispelling myths about it.

WHY DID I WRITE THIS?

  • I wanted to write something that many could relate to, but something that’s meaningful to me as well. I’ve always been captivated by Persian mythology and wanted to put a modern take on it.
  • I also wanted to write something that’s rarely been accurately portrayed on the big screen.
  • It’s a hopeful script, that shows that people going through the struggle portrayed in my script make it through.

HOW COULD YOU WRITE YOUR OWN SCRIPT?

  • Form a location and community, optional, in your head. Form a character.
  • Now think of a conflict for that character.
  • Now form some supporting characters. Do they help or harm your protagonist?
  • Start writing. Introduce your location, then your community (if you have one), then your character, and then your conflict.
  • How does it build up? How does it climax?
  • How does it resolve? Does it resolve at all?

WHY AM I PITCHING MY SCRIPT TO A BUNCH OF SENIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL, AND NOT A24?

  • On top of learning how to write a script, I promised that I’d learn how to make a pitch.
  • I wanted to do this to get my work supported, and so I could improve as a writer.
  • If all goes well, I may legitimately try to pitch this script one day.
  • Thanks for watching!
