POSTER #1

This poster means that when somebody says something carelessly, they could end up dead. This poster was meant to put fear into people, so that they would be scared to speak carelessly. When the poster says ''Another cross,'' it means another grave, another person dead.

A propaganda technique that could be used for this poster is emotional appeal. This poster is so effective because the poster strikes fear into people. Many people fear death, so this poster was very effective.

POSTER #2

Many women missed their loved ones when their loved ones went off to war. I'm sure that those many women wanted their loved ones home as soon as possible. This poster is mainly targeting women like that. The poster is convincing women to join the WAVES in order to bring their loved ones home sooner, making the women more happy.

A propaganda technique that could be used for this poster is emotional appeal. Because these women missed their loved ones and worried about their loved ones a lot, the poster was very effective. The poster reached down to the women's sadness and worries in order to convince these women to join the waves.

POSTER #3

This poster is trying to show people that hitler is a good man. The poster does this by showing Hitler smiling at the happy kids. Hitler is also holding flowers, which shows that Hitler is pleasant. The men in the background are also smiling because of hitler's appearance.

A propaganda technique that could be used in this poster is emotional appeal. The viewer of this poster gets a pleasant feeling by seeing hitler with happy kids and men. Because the viewer sees this poster, the viewer has a positive opinion towards Hitler.

POSTER #4

POSTER #4

This poster shows american soldiers in 1778 and American soldiers in 1943. The 1778 soldiers seem to be looking at the 1943 soldiers as if the 1778 soldiers were counting on the 1943 soldiers to fight for liberty. This picture shows proof that even back then(1778), Americans fought for liberty.

A propaganda technique that could be used in this poster is emotional appeal. This poster strikes pride into people. By seeing how Americans also fought in 1778, it makes the viewer feel proud of America. This proudness and pride mixed, can make the viewer also want to take action. The viewer also wants to be part of this majestic army.
