WHAT IS IT MADE OF?

85-99% TIN. THE REST IS A MIX OF COPPER, ANTIMONY, BISMUTH, AND LEAD.
In it's early days it was made with lead. Now a days it is made with out lead due to the lead poisoning that occurred.

What is the alloy?

It is a Substitutional Alloy.

WHEN WAS IT FIRST SPOTTED?

  • The start of the Bronze Age
  • Near the Near East
The first initial piece was discovered from an Egyptian tomb from 1450 BC.

USES?

MADE INTO DISHWARES, FIGURINES, AND JEWLERY
