People are working on apps that allow you to interact with music. To take a song and speed it up, skip it, slow it down, and rewind it. Some even allow you to play and repeat a song endlessly, or switch the drummer. There is one that allow you to make a road trip playlist, based on where you're driving through and which musicians are from that area.
