  • National political conflicts
  • Social unrest in a foreign country
  • And more

Essential skills

  • Having good command of digital cameras
  • Film cameras as well
  • Process and print negatives 
  • Having good authentic and ethical manner in their images
  • Being able to use image-editing software (ex. Photoshop )

In order to gain some specific knowledge and skills, getting bachelor's degree in photojournalism is a common way to go.
