• Distance is an amount of space between two things or people
• Displacement is the moving of something from its place or position

PROCEDURE/EXAMPLES

• Start at the 10 yard line
• Travel to the 25 yard line
• Go back to the 15 yard line
• Displacement=5
• Distance = 25
