Cape

  • An area of land extending into a body of water
  • A cape is like a limb because it is part of something bigger yet extended out

Plain

  • A large flat region
  • A plain is like an original pancake house pancake because it is flat and very large

Peninsula

  • A LARGE piece of land extending out into a body of water
  • A peninsula is like a finger because it is reaching out

Isthmus

  • A narrow strip of land with sea on either side, forming a link between two larger areas of land
  • An isthmus i like a bridge because it connects two areas

Archipelago

  • A group of islands
  • An archipelago is like a family because they are close and related

Delta

  • A landform at the mouth of a river that flows into a lake or ocean
  • A river delta is like blood vessels because they bring fluid to a larger body

Gulf

  • A deep body of water surrounded by land with a narrow mouth connecting it to the sea
  • A gulf is like the human body because our mouth is the narrow opening into our body like gulfs

Strait

  • A narrow passage of water connecting to large water bodies
  • A strait is like a stick because it is thin and narrow

THE ISTHMUS IS MOST IMPORTANT BECAUSE ON BOTH SIDES THERE

IS WATER PROVIDED AND IT CONNECTS TWO LANDFORMS FOR TRANSPORTATION
