Physical Traits
are characteristics or features of something or someone that can be observed.

Oak leaf sort & observation

• With your team, make observations of the oak leaves on the table.
• As a team, sort the leaves into groups using the physical traits you see.
• In your science journal, record and sketch the physical traits of your different groups.
• After all groups are done, share how you sorted your leaves.
