SPEED

  • Distance/Time

AVERAGE SPEED

  • The overall rate of speed at which an object moves
  • Calculated by dividing the total distance an object travels by the toatal time

  • Speed in a given direction

  • The rate at which velocity changes

  • A surface at which one end or side is at a higher level than another

FORCE

  • A push or a pull

NEWTON

  • A unit of measurement that equals the force required to accelerate 1 kg of mass at 1 meter per second

NET FORCE

  • The combination of all forces acting on an object
