Developement before learning

  • The child must develop first, to then be able to learn.
  • Without prior development, learning is impossible.

  • Schemas are defined as mental systems formed in the child's brain.
  • Schemas are constantly adapting as the influences the environment change.

4 stages  - Sensorimotor

  • Exploration of the environment 
  • 5 senses play a key role in this stage

4 stages - concrete operational

  • Logic and Mental awareness
  • Everything is related to and tied into reality.
