THE POT BELLIED PIG

CHARACTERISTICS

• The pot bellied pig is smaller than a normal phi although it's heavier
• They generally weigh between 20-300lb
• In my opinion they are the ugliest pigs there are

PIGS

• As they are the same species as normal farmyard pigs and boars, they can crossbreed
• There are not many pure breed pot belly pigs left these days
• Most of them live in mountains in in Vietnam
• They become fertile at 6 months
• They are fully mature at 6 years old

PIGS

• They are considered overweight when fat rolls over their eyes or their stomach touches the ground
• A lot of these pigs get abandoned after they mature
• When they are young people they are low maintaince but they get bigger and much harder to keep
• The Vietnamese and German government have been mass producing these pigs for pork production since the 80's
