Summary and Plot

Sheldon Russell Curtis, a white Union soldier was wounded and left for dead when Pinkus Aylee, an African American Union soldier found him and took him to his mother Moe Moe Bay. This story revolves around the fears and decisions that two young men, fighting for the same cause, must go through.

This story is a great introduction to Civil War era studies. It contains a lot of the vocabulary and situations that these soldiers would use and experience.
