PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Utopia, the world was a Utopia.
Each day was more beautiful than the last, a never ending summer.
Gods walked among mortals and the society blossomed.
This was the world I was planted in. And it was beautiful
But alas, all good things must come to an end.
.
There she was, strolling through the flowers.
Her tinkling laughter drifting through the air. Flowers blooming in her wake.
Her beauty was radiant, literally blinding. Persephone. My patron goddess.
A young carefree maiden whose world was about to be abruptly shattered, for she had spotted me.
A curious look came upon her face.
“My, my, what do we have here? I have never seen a flower like you before. I should know, I’m the Goddess of flowers.” As she approached, unaware of the troubles awaiting. This is the moment I shall never forget. That beautiful unassuming face, smile twisting her lips upward. The moment before It happened
A simple prick. That’s all it was. A simple prick. A prick that changed the world. As the gold ichor oozed forth on her finger, it was like time stopped. A booming sound echoed throughout the world. The world split asunder. A hellish chariot bounded forth with a ghastly rider. Hades. Persephone was snatched before she even realized it and back into the depths of hell they went.
All because of me. This knowledge haunted me as the world around me died. A mother’s grief is a palpable thing. As life faded from me, I saw her face again. That young, naive face in the moments before the world changed forever.
Nevermore, the summer shall be nevermore
Nevermore, the harsh winter, evermore the season.
