On June 7, 1892, 30-year-old Homer Plessy was arrested for siting in the "withes only" section of a train car

Why did Homer Plessy attempt to sit in the whites section of the train?
Plessy attempted to sit in the segregated section to protest the "separate but equal" law that was currently in effect in Louisiana.

Plessy versus Ferguson court case conclusion
John H. Ferguson concluded that the law was just and reasonable and found Plessy guilty
Plessy argued that the law was a violation both the 13th and 14th amendment

Did the law violate any amendments?
The law did not violate the 13th amendment because no form of slavery or bondge was committed
The 14th amendment on the other hand was violated, it gave white people a special type of privilege
