A 11 year girl named Venetia Burney named Pluto after the Roman God of the underworld.
Pluto is the ninth planet from the Sun.
Pluto is located in Kuiper belt.
Pluto is 3,670,050,000 miles from the Sun.
It is a outer planet and changed to dwarf planet in 2008.

Pluto is a rocky planet.
It is a very small planet.
It is made of hydrogen, helium, and methane.
Pluto's surface is made mostly of ice but has a rocky core.
It is more rocky than it's fellow gas giants neighbor planets.
Pluto's colors are brown, with black and orange light and dark spots.
