Emily Dickinson

• She was born December 10 1830
• One of her influences was her principal of Amherst Academy her school
• She had two siblings one William and the other Lavinia

Early life

• most of her Poems where written in 1858-1864
• only few poems where published in her life time
• She wrote her poems on envelopes

Later life

• Her bedroom looked into a Burial ground explaining why many of her poems where about death
• She wrote over 1,800 poems
• She died of kidney disease at the age of 56
