The number of people effected by this disease worldwide each year is about 60 cases
The mortality rate is 2%-5% in children and 15% - 30% in adults
The incubation period is commonly 6-20 days with a 3- 35 day range

The way polio is transmitted is though person- to- person contact
Most people have no symptoms or very mild and some go unrecognized
There is no cure but there is treatment
