2.
nORTH kOREAN iSOLATION
Contact with the outside world is forbidden.
They do not allow any outside influences, and they do not have
alliances or relations with other countries.
North Korea chooses to be isolated with the belief that
they can do well on their own.

3.
Taiwanese isolation
Taiwan is claimed by China and not recognized
as an independent nation.
China threatens to stop all trade with any country that
recognizes Taiwan as an independent nation.
Taiwan is isolated because China has control of Taiwan.

4.
Similarities of the Isolations
Both countries are politically isolated.
Because of isolation, nations cannot interact and ally with
those two countries.
Trade is impossible with North Korea's isolation, and
it is risky for a nation to trade with Taiwan.

5.
Differences
North Korea chose to be isolated and Taiwan did not.
North Korea is not controlled by any country while Taiwan is.
Taiwan is not officially an independent nation while North Korea is.
6.
Should the U.S. continue to support taiwan?
I don't think the U.S. should continue.
It is too risky, and the consequences of trade being
cut off with China would be hard on the U.S.
We could be fine with manufacturing inside of the U.S.,
but an abrupt halt of trade would leave us struggling.
