FACTS

  • Pollution is one of the biggest global killers.
  • Dirty water is a huge health risk.
  • Polluted water affects both people and animals.
  • Oceans all over the world are getting polluted.
  • 14 billion pounds of trash are dumped in the ocean every year.

WHAT DOES POLLUTION CAUSE?

  • Pollution causes trouble breathing especially if you have asthma.
  • Over 1 million seabirds and 100,000 see mammals are killed each year because of pollution.
  • More than 1 billion people in the world don't have clean water to drink.
  • Pollution is a global killer which kills both animals and people.

WAYS YOU CAN HELP!

  • If you can't find a recycle bin near you hold onto your bottle.
  • Buy two different garbage cans, one for regular trash and another for recycle.
  • If your street doesn't have a recycle bin buy one and keep it outside of your home.
  • Keep a refillable bottle with you so plastic isn't being wasted.
  • If you buy a soda try looking for recycled soda bottles
