Population Pyramids are a demographic snapshot that shows insights of a society.
In the left and right of the population pyramid is gender.
Number of population is placed on the x axis.
Age by 5 year increments are on the y axis.

Baby bracket is from ages 0-14.
Bearing bracket is from ages 15-49.
Old bracket is from ages 50-100+.
Baby and old brackets do not contribute to society due to their characteristics.

Three types of patterns on population pyramids are classic, cool column, and intriguing inverted.
The classic describes the rural areas where growth is rapid because of high fertility rate.
Cool column is an urbanized and stabilized population grown society.
Intriguing inverted is a negative growth societies where fertility rate is not even 2.1.
Societies that have intriguing inverted pyramids can grow in population by immigration.
