PRESENTATION OUTLINE

PROBLEM

  • Our problem is that we have to create a posicle stick bridge.

POSICLE STICK BRIDGE

  • Matthew The Builder and Leader,Rafael The Co-Leader and Cameron helper
  • We used wood Glue and our Bridge is exactly 42 Inches long.
  • We Supported it with Triangle Popsicles at the Bottom.
  • We used about 200 popsicle sticks .
  • We used elmers glue and also wood glue

VOCABULARY

  • F=force/lbs
  • 6=F-A
  • Plastic Deformation:Structure is strained but doesnt go back.
  • Elastic Deformation:Structure is strained but goes back to its original shape, rubber band

TYPES OF STRESS

  • There are many types of stress
  • One type of stress is structual stress
  • Structual stress is generated when tension reaches to high
  • So when the stress is created it causes structual stress

BRIDGE DESIGN

  • Our design is to put triangles on the side to support the bridge
  • We will also put posicle sticks on the bottom for more support
  • We will also glue posicle sticks to the edges of the triangles

CONCLUSION

  • Our conclusion was that our bridge didnt hold at all and it fell and broke
  • If we were to ever do this again we would put more support on the edges so that it could at least hold up and it would last.
