FACTS

  • The nematode worms are Capillaria spp and Gongylonema ingluvicola
  • They infect the mucosa of the crop and oesophagous of poultry.
  • Some have beetle or earthworms as intermediate hosts

SYMPTOMS AND PREVENTION

  • Signs the chicken has cropworms are anemia and emaciation
  • You can prevent it by cleaning the housing of the poultry.
  • Avoid access to hosts and rountine worming.
