  • Larger Iroquois style called Longhouses
  • 6-20 people
  • Wooden frames covered in wooven mats and sheets of bark

Daily Life

  • Men hunt and provided for his family
  • Women harvested veggies, cleaned, took care of the kids
  • Children played with each other, and helped around the house

Other Information

  • Powhatan meant "waterfall"
  • After the settlement of Jamestown, the tribes got paid by the military to forn food, pelts, copper, and pearls

  • Men: breech cloths, leggings in cooler weather
  • Both: tattoos, earings
