• Wooden frames covered in wooven mats and sheets of bark

Daily Life

• Men hunt and provided for his family
• Women harvested veggies, cleaned, took care of the kids
• Children played with each other, and helped around the house

Food

• Corn, squash, beans, deer, turkey, fish, wild roots, berries, raccons, foxes, beavers, otters, muskrats, hares, opposums, bears, and fish
• Women planted and harvested
• Men hunted and fished

• Ahone: great creator god of the tribe
• Okeus: principal God of the Powhatan Tribe

• A man can marry more than one women
• Upper class the parents would chose the mate

Other Information

• Powhatan meant "waterfall"
• After the settlement of Jamestown, the tribes got paid by the military to forn food, pelts, copper, and pearls

• Women: knee-length fridge skirts
• Men: breech cloths, leggings in cooler weather
• Both: tattoos, earings
• Clothing dependedupon his or her wealth
