IS WATER A HUMAN RIGHT OR PRIVILEGE ?

  • Water is a human right and everyone should be able to have access to it

DID YOU KNOW ?

  • People are dying in Ghana
  • Dying from diseases such as Cholera
  • Pipes are dried up and old (almost 100 years old)

DIRTY WATER IN OUR WORLD

  • Dirty water is almost everywhere
  • People drink dirty water because they don't have access to clean water
  • New born babies can't take showers because they don't have clean water

HOW DOES CONTAMINATED WATER EFECT HUMANS ?

  • 48,000 people die each year from drinking contaminated water
  • People have to walk miles to get water
  • People drink contaminated water in order to survive
  • People in Ghana pay private owners for water that are in tanks and might be contaminated

WATER BORNE DISEASES

GLOBAL AND LOCAL CAUSE THAT AFFECT PEOPLE

  • People in Ghana are paying a quarter of there income for water that is contaminated
  • Drinking polluted water
  • Killing their food sources (fish)
  • Runoff is affecting the water by carrying sediments and materials to the ocean
