Themes:
~Love:
Courtship between Darcy and Elizabeth. They had many obstacles caused by the lover's own personal qualities. Elizabeth's own pride misjudged Darcy on the the first impression. Darcy's prejudice against Elizabeth's poor standing. They each show both pride and can be prejudice.

Reputation:
~Depicts a society where a woman's reputation is the outmost importance. The theme appears when Elizabeth walks to Netherfield and appears with a muddy skirt to the Bingley's house.

Class:
~ Reflects the nature of life for the middle and upper classes in England. The lines of class are strictly drawn. The Bennets who are middle-class can socialize with the upper-class Darcys and Bingleys, they're treated like they're less aswell.

Main Characters
-Elizabeth Bennet: She's the second daughter of Mr.Bennet. She's the most intelligent and sensible of the 5 Bennet sisters. She's well read and quick witted.
- Fitzwilliam Darcy:
He's a wealthy gentleman, master of Pemberley. He's smart and honest, but his pride causes him to look down upon lower social classes.

- Jane Bennet:
The eldest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Bennet. She's also the most beautiful daughter. She's also more reserved and gentle than Elizabeth.
- Charles Bingley:
He's Darcy's wealthy best friend. He's easy going and doesn't care about social class

Elizabeth Bennet, who is a witty and independent young girl, lives in England with her four sisters, her mother, and her father. When Mr. Bingley, a handsome, rich, young bachelor, arrives to stay in Hartfordshire ,Mrs. Bennet immediately tries to get one of her daughters to marry him. Bingley is a charming young man and quickly falls in love with the eldest Bennet sister, the beautiful Jane. It is a guarded relationship, so Jane and Bingley don't express their mutual feelings for each other, though Bingley obviously shows his fondness to Jane.

Meanwhile, Bingley's proud friend Darcy meets Elizabeth. Elizabeth loathes Mr. Darcy, and avoids him as much as possible. Though Darcy is proud and reserved at first, it becomes obvious of his love for Elizabeth. Class, however, restricts his affection for her, he is rich and high on the social ladder, and Elizabeth comes from a middle-class family.
