PRIMARY SOURCES
A primary source is a document or an object written or created during the time under study.
These sources were present during an experience and offer an inside view. Examples:
RELICS OR ARTIFACTS like pottery and buildings
ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS like diaries, letters
CREATIVE WORKS like drama and music

SECONDARY SOURCES
A secondary source interprets and analyzes primary sources.
They may have pictures, quotes or graphics of primary sources. Examples:
PUBLICATIONS like text books, encyclopedias, journal articles.
