DOMESTIC DECISIONS PART I
This decision was a positive change for Canada because it guaranteed security for all Canadians by protecting the fundamental rights of humans, these include the right to speak freely and practice any religion freely.
DOMESTIC DECISION PART II
Deifenbaker's decision to elect James Gladstone, a Blackfoot from the NWT, to the position of senator was a positive change for Canada because it promoted equality in the government and gave a voice to a demographic that had previously been deprived of one.
International DECISION PART I
Signing the N.O.R.A.D. agreement was a positive decision for Canada because it created a stronger air force that could defend Canada in a time of crisis. Also, with the threat of war looming overhead the security that a joint air force would bring would have made Canadians feel safer.
International decision part II
Diefenbaker's decision to oppose apartheid in South Africa and his help in their withdrawl from the commonwealth were positive decisions because they would have improved Canada's international reputation as a peacekeeping country.
The choice to introduce a new flag for Canada was positive because it created a symbol and identity for Canada. It also aided in the total establishment of our autonomy from Britain.
Domestic decision part ii
This was a positive decision because both universal medicare and the Canada student loans plan improved the lives of Canadians as both plans made life more affordable for all Canadians in some way.
International decision part i
Pearson's decision to aid in the creation of a UN Peacekeeping Force was a positive decision for Canada as it improved our global reputation and established a force that could aid in the peacekeeping efforts of any country that needed help.
International decision part ii
Pearson's choice to attend the first U.N. conference was a positive decision for many of the same reasons that his work on the Peacekeeping Force was and it helped Canada establish a global reputation of being a peace-loving and impartial country, willing to pay the price of keeping world peace.
Trudeau's decision to decriminalize homosexuality, make abortions legal, and make divorce easier were all positive adjustments to Canada's Criminal code that made the lives of many safer and easier within Canada.

In choosing to make Canada a bilingual nation Trudeau gave Canada a unique global identity and promoted unity amongst the French and English speaking people of Canada by giving them equal rights to speak the language of their choice.
International decision part i
By making the decision to reduce nuclear weapon developments and supplies that Canada controlled, Trudeau eased Cold War tensions and reinforced Canada's reputation as a peacekeeping country.
International decision part ii
By promoting policies that aided the economies of other countries, Trudeau improved Canada's global image and created new trade partners for Canada, therefore benefiting both Canada and the countries it aided.

This decision is significant because it had a major affect on Canada's international identity, as it created a reputation for Canada as being a peace-loving country while still providing much needed peacekeeping forces to war torn countries.

Trudeau's decision to pass the Official Language Act was so significant because it created a bilingual culture in Canada and helped to promote equality and understanding between the French and English speaking groups of Canada.
