Scale

this room has scale with big couches, big windows, and a large fire place.

Proportion

This design has proportion because it is one piece made of many that go together.

Symmetrical balance

this dress has symmetry because it is the same pattern reflected on each side.

Asymmetrical balance

This dress is asymmetrical but is still balanced.

Radial

This mirror is radial, it is a circle surrounded by little rectangles.

Emphasis

This dress has emphasis with the diamonds on the right shoulder.

Rhythm (Repetition)

This dress has repetition with a black and white triangle pattern.



Rhythm (Gradation)

This pattern has gradation from pink to blue.

Radiation

This mirror has radation with lines stemming from a central point.

Opposition

This dress has right angles as a part of the design.

Transition

This dress has curved lines that create harmony.

Harmony (Variety & Unity)

This room has variety and unity with various things around the room that go well together.
