PRINCIPLES OF THE CONSTITUTION

Limited government - a political system in which legalized force is restricted through delegated and enumerated powers.

Republicanism - the principles or theory of republican government.

Checks and Balances - a system in which the different parts of an organization have powers that affect and control the other parts so that no part can become too powerful

Federalism - the distribution of power in an organization between a central authority and the constituent units compare centralism.

Separation of Power - an act of resting the legislative, executive, and judicial of government in separate bodies.

Popular Sovereignty - a doctrine in political theory that government is created by and subject to the will of the people.

Individual Rights - refer to the liberties of each individual to nurse life and goals without interference from other individuals of the government.
